Harvard University - February 2010
The debate team went to Harvard University last weekend. Chattahoochee had five teams in the elimination rounds, two more than any other school in the country this year, and a record that stretches back at least a decade. That means that Chattahoochee had fifteen percent of the top-ranked teams in a two hundred person tournament. We also had five debaters ranked among the top twenty speakers.
Megan Cambre and Kaavya Ramesh - Quarterfinalists
Jeff Zhang and Matt Rosenthal - Octofinalists
Kaitlyn Walker and Cara Venezia - Double Octofinalists
Sean Robinson and Adam Kostrinsky - Double Octofinalists
Maggie Davis and Mustafa Inamullah - Double Octofinalists
Speaker Awards:
24th - Megan Cambre
23rd - Jeff Zhang
22nd - Maggie Davis
15th - Mustafa Inamullah
6th - Kaavya Ramesh
This earns Ramesh and Cambre and Zhang and Rosenthal their 5th bids to the Tournament of Champions in May 2010.
